In a deeply disturbing incident from Nagpur, a 54-year-old teacher has been apprehended by authorities on Tuesday for the alleged sexual exploitation of Class 4 girl students at a village school located in Paoni taluka, Bhandara district. The arrest follows a formal complaint lodged by a 32-year-old mother of one of the survivors, who bravely came forward to expose the atrocities.

The accused has been identified as Anilkumar Jagan Raut, a resident of Lakhandur in Bhandara district. According to the complaint filed at the Paoni police station, Raut is alleged to have committed these heinous offences between July 2025 and March 7, 2026, inside the very classroom where he was entrusted with educating young minds. The complaint paints a harrowing picture of exploitation and intimidation.
The modus operandi described in the complaint is particularly chilling. It is alleged that the teacher would strategically send some students outside the classroom, isolating the remaining girls. He would then show obscene videos on his mobile phone to these vulnerable students before proceeding to sexually assault them. This prompted the concerned mother to speak with her own daughter and other minor students in the class.
