A devastating road accident in Farrukhabad has left a family shattered after a speeding trailer ran over three relatives, including a minor, at the Nawabganj intersection late on Saturday. The victims were killed instantly in the horrific incident, which occurred as they were crossing the road.
Details of the Fatal Accident
According to police reports and eyewitness accounts, the trailer was traveling at high speed when it struck the victims, dragging them approximately 20 meters before crashing into a tree and a nearby shop. The impact was so severe that all three victims succumbed to their injuries on the spot.
The victims have been identified as Pushpendra Yadav (20), Arpit Yadav (18), and Nishu Yadav (15), all residents of Nayagaon. In a heartbreaking twist, Arpit was the only son in his family and was scheduled to get married in just two months, adding to the tragedy's emotional weight.
Driver Flees Scene, Investigation Underway
Immediately after the accident, the trailer driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene, leaving behind the wreckage and the victims. CCTV footage from the area has captured the entire incident, showing the trailer hitting the victims and the subsequent crash.
Nawabganj police station in-charge Rajeev Kumar confirmed that a search operation is currently underway to locate the absconding driver. "We are investigating all angles and using available evidence to track down the driver," Kumar stated.
Family's Heartbreaking Account
Sunil, Arpit's uncle, revealed that the three young men had left their home around 8 pm, telling family members they were going to visit nearby fields. Instead, they headed to Arpit's maternal uncle's house in the Nawabganj area, where the tragic accident occurred.
The family is now grappling with unimaginable grief, particularly with Arpit's wedding preparations having been in full swing. The community has been left in shock by the sudden loss of three young lives in such violent circumstances.
