62-Year-Old Ex-Air Force Engineer Killed by Daughter-in-Law in Delhi Property Dispute
Retired Air Force Engineer Murdered in Delhi Family Feud

A shocking incident of domestic violence and murder has rocked the Bindapur area of southwest Delhi, where a retired Air Force engineer was allegedly killed by his own daughter-in-law following a bitter family dispute over property. The tragic event unfolded on Saturday morning, revealing a deep-seated conflict within the family.

The Fatal Attack on the Rooftop

According to the Delhi Police, the victim, identified as 62-year-old Naresh Kumar of Mansa Ram Park, was attacked on the terrace of his house. The police received a PCR call about the incident at 10:46 am. Upon reaching the scene, they found Naresh lying unconscious on the rooftop. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital along with his younger son, but doctors declared him dead on arrival.

The prime accused, his daughter-in-law Geeta (32), was present on the first floor of the house. Police officials stated that Geeta confessed to assaulting her father-in-law. The preliminary inquiry suggests that the motive behind the brutal crime was a long-running dispute over the division of a house built on a 50-yard property.

A Long-Simmering Family Feud Turns Deadly

Neighbours provided a chilling account of the attack to the police. They reported that Naresh Kumar was sitting alone on the terrace when Geeta went upstairs and launched a violent assault. The accused allegedly pinned the elderly man down by sitting on his chest and then repeatedly hit him, causing severe head trauma.

Hearing Naresh's cries for help, alarmed neighbours raised an alarm. By the time his younger daughter and others could reach the terrace, Naresh had already sustained multiple injuries and was unresponsive. The fatal head injuries proved too severe for him to survive.

Family Background and Legal Action

Investigations revealed that Naresh Kumar lived with his younger son, daughter-in-law Geeta, and a minor daughter. His elder son, who is Geeta's husband, works in Hyderabad and was not present at the time of the incident. The family had been grieving another loss, as Naresh's wife passed away just four months ago, adding to the domestic tension.

The Bindapur police have registered a case under Section 103 (murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Geeta has been arrested and is currently in police custody as the investigation continues to uncover the full details of the property dispute that led to this tragic outcome.
