Punjab Vigilance Bureau Nabs Conductor in Bathinda Bribery Sting Operation
In a significant crackdown on corruption, the Punjab Vigilance Bureau has apprehended conductor Narinder Singh, also known as Laadi, who was stationed at the PRTC depot in Bathinda. The arrest follows allegations that Singh demanded a bribe of Rs 20,000 from a fellow employee.

According to an official spokesperson from the vigilance bureau, the case originated from a complaint filed by a resident of Talwandi Sabho. The complainant, who works as a driver at the same PRTC depot in Bathinda, sought to change his bus route but was allegedly confronted with illegal demands.
The driver claimed that Kewal Krishan, a fitter in charge at the Bus Stand Goniana, and conductor Narinder Singh jointly solicited the bribe in exchange for facilitating the route alteration. Demonstrating remarkable initiative, the complainant recorded the entire conversation as evidence of the corrupt solicitation.
Vigilance Bureau Executes Trap Operation
Unwilling to succumb to the illegal pressure, the driver promptly approached the Vigilance Bureau range in Bathinda. After conducting a preliminary enquiry to verify the allegations, the vigilance team orchestrated a meticulous trap operation.
