The father of a murdered Pune businessman has alleged that the family of a woman named Siya was involved in his son's killing, stating that "they knew everything from the start." The victim, identified as 32-year-old Rohan, was found dead under suspicious circumstances earlier this week, sparking a major investigation by Pune Police.
Father's Allegations Against Siya's Family
In an emotional statement to the media, the victim's father, Rajesh, claimed that Siya's family had prior knowledge of the crime and played a role in its execution. "They knew everything from the start. My son was killed because of their involvement," he said, without providing specific evidence. He urged the police to thoroughly investigate the family's connections and motives.
Rohan, a successful businessman dealing in textiles, was reported missing on June 20, 2026. His body was discovered two days later in an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of Pune. Preliminary post-mortem reports indicate blunt force trauma to the head, confirming homicide.
Police Investigation Underway
Pune Police have registered a case of murder and are questioning multiple individuals, including members of Siya's family. According to sources, Siya was a close acquaintance of Rohan, but the nature of their relationship remains unclear. Police Commissioner Amit Kumar stated, "We are looking into all angles, including personal enmity and financial disputes. The father's allegations are being taken seriously, and we are gathering evidence."
Investigators have recovered a mobile phone and a diary from the crime scene, which may contain crucial clues. Forensic teams are analyzing the evidence, while police have formed a special squad to expedite the case.
Community Reactions and Demands for Justice
The murder has sent shockwaves through the local business community in Pune. Colleagues described Rohan as a hardworking and amiable person with no known enemies. A fellow trader, Sunil Mehta, said, "He was a kind soul. We are all shocked and demand swift justice."
Meanwhile, Siya's family has denied any involvement. Her father, Vikram, told reporters, "These allegations are baseless. My daughter had no role in this tragedy. We are cooperating with the police."
As the investigation continues, the victim's father has appealed for public support to ensure the guilty are punished. "I will not rest until my son gets justice," he vowed.
