In a significant crackdown on employment fraud, the Vedayapalem police in Nellore district have arrested a 44-year-old man for allegedly duping numerous unemployed youngsters by promising them jobs at the prestigious Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). The arrest was made on Saturday following an intensive investigation.

Accused Identified as Sheik Hussain

According to Nellore Additional Superintendent of Police Deeksha, the accused has been identified as Sheik Hussain, a resident of Nirmala Nagar locality in Nellore rural mandal. Police investigations revealed that Hussain, who was reportedly addicted to various vices, devised this elaborate scam to fund his lavish lifestyle.

Modus Operandi of the Scam

Sheik Hussain systematically targeted vulnerable, unemployed youth in and around Nellore town and its surrounding areas. He lured them with false promises of securing employment at the TTD, despite having no legitimate connection whatsoever to the renowned temple trust. Exploiting the desperation for jobs among the youth, he managed to convince approximately 15 victims over the past year.
