Acting on credible information, the Madanapalle police intercepted a suspicious man during vehicular checks near the Nakkaladinne arch area. The individual was subjected to thorough questioning and investigation, which led to his immediate detention.
The accused taken into custody has been identified as R Devaraj Kumar, a 31-year-old resident of Karnataka. During interrogation, Kumar revealed that he was heavily addicted to alcohol and gambling, which resulted in accumulating substantial debts that needed urgent repayment.

Kumar confessed to stealing high-end luxury cars specifically to pay off his mounting debts and sustain an extravagant lifestyle. His criminal activities targeted premium vehicles, which he then attempted to sell or use as collateral to manage his financial obligations.

"We strongly advise all vehicle owners to install GPRS tracking systems and advanced security alarms in their cars. Additionally, installing CCTV cameras in residential colonies and near house entrances can serve as a major deterrent to such crimes," stated SP Kanubilli.
