Gujarat DGP Orders 100-Hour Dossier on Anti-National Elements
Gujarat DGP's 100-hour deadline for anti-national dossier

In a significant move to bolster state security, Gujarat Director General of Police (DGP) Vikas Sahay has issued a strict 100-hour deadline to all police stations across the state. The directive mandates the creation of a comprehensive dossier detailing all anti-national elements who have been booked over the past three decades.

High-Stakes Security Directive

The order, communicated via a video message on social media platform X this past Monday, requires every police station to update the current status of individuals identified as anti-national who were involved in cases spanning the last 30 years. The police force has been given until Friday to complete this extensive verification and profiling task.

This proactive measure comes in the wake of a series of security incidents. On November 8, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) arrested a doctor from Hyderabad and two individuals from Uttar Pradesh. These arrests were connected to a suspected terror plot involving ricin, a lethal toxin extracted from castor beans.

Weapons Seized from Dargah Premises

In a related development, the Gir-Somnath district police conducted a security operation this Sunday, leading to a notable discovery. The Special Operations Group (SOG) found and seized four sharp-edged weapons from the compound of the Kutchi Pir Ni Dargah, located in Mul Dwarka village of Kodinar taluka.

The recovered arsenal included two swords, an axe, and a dagger. The weapons were discovered behind a residential building adjacent to the dargah, which is the dwelling of its caretaker, Aminshah Ismaelshah Kanojiya (42).

Legal Action and Ongoing Investigation

Following the discovery, an FIR was registered at the Kodinar police station based on a complaint filed by Head Constable Gopalsinh Deepsinh Mori of the SOG. The police team, which was conducting verification checks in light of the recent bomb blast in Delhi, called in witnesses and formally seized the weapons.

Kanojiya was subsequently arrested and booked under section 135 of the Gujarat Police Act for violating an order legally promulgated by a public servant. Inspector N.A. Vaghela, the in-charge of the SOG, confirmed the arrest and stated that a further investigation is currently underway.

DGP Sahay, in his video message, connected these actions to the broader security landscape, referencing the ATS arrests, subsequent actions in Faridabad, and the tragic bomb blast in Delhi that claimed 14 lives. He emphasized that the Gujarat police are on high alert and are taking all necessary steps to preempt any potential threats to public safety.
