Delhi Man Arrested for Stabbing Woman's Brother After Repeated Harassment
In a disturbing incident in north-west Delhi's Model Town area, a 19-year-old man has been apprehended by police for allegedly stabbing a woman's brother after subjecting her to persistent harassment. The arrest was confirmed by authorities on Saturday, highlighting a case of escalating violence stemming from unwanted advances.

The accused, identified as Shyam Sunder, resided in the same neighborhood as the complainant. According to police statements, Sunder had been harassing the woman for an extended period. DCP (north west) Akanksha Yadav revealed that the woman reported Sunder would make lewd remarks and obscene gestures whenever she crossed his path.
"She said that Sunder would pass lewd remarks and make obscene gestures whenever she crossed his path. When she confronted him and warned that she would complain to her husband and brother, Sunder threatened her, saying he would kill both of them if she disclosed the matter to anyone," DCP Yadav stated.
Escalation to Violence and Arrest
The situation turned violent on the evening of March 12. Around 8:30 PM, Sunder allegedly attacked the woman's brother with a knife, stabbing him three to four times before fleeing the scene. Following this assault, a case was registered at the Model Town police station under relevant sections of the law, including attempt to murder and assault with intent to outrage a woman's modesty.
Police conducted multiple raids, leading to Sunder's apprehension. During interrogation, he admitted to the harassment and disclosed that he had developed a grudge against the woman's family after they objected to his behavior. The stabbing was carried out in anger and as retaliation for confronting him, according to DCP Yadav's account of the questioning.
