The drive took place in K Bungsang village, located within the Samulamlan sub-division, and resulted in the destruction of approximately 10 acres of poppy crops.

The operation was led by the executive magistrate of Samulamlan and involved a comprehensive joint team from multiple agencies. This included personnel from the district police, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), forest department, Narcotics and Affairs of Border (NAB), and the 1st Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB).
