Rajasthan CM Orders Dismissal of 2 Officials, Pension Cuts for 4 Retired Doctors
Rajasthan CM acts against guilty officials, doctors

In a decisive move underscoring a zero-tolerance policy towards misconduct, the Rajasthan government under Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has mandated stringent punitive actions against several government officials and retired doctors. The actions stem from completed departmental inquiries, with punishments ranging from dismissal to the withholding of pensions.

Dismissals and Pension Cuts Approved

The most severe punishment of dismissal from service was imposed on two medical officials belonging to the Ayurveda and Animal Husbandry Department. This action was taken after they were found guilty in separate criminal cases, following direct orders from Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma.

In a parallel development concerning retired personnel, the state government approved strict measures in three distinct departmental inquiry cases. Operating under Rule 16 of the Rajasthan (Civil Services Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1958, the administration sanctioned the punishment of withholding pension for four retired government doctors and one official.

Cases Sent for Governor's Approval and One Officer Relieved

The crackdown extended further with decisions in two additional cases under Rule 16 of the CCA Rules. Here, the inquiry findings, which established charges of prolonged unauthorized absence and unruly conduct against two officials, have been forwarded to the Governor of Rajasthan for final approval of the recommended punishment.

Amidst these strict actions, one case under Rule 17 CCA saw a different outcome. The state government accepted an appeal in this matter, thereby providing relief to the concerned officer.

A Clear Message on Administrative Integrity

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has made the government's stance unequivocally clear. He emphasized that the Rajasthan government will not compromise on administrative integrity in any manner. The CM stated that strict action will continue to be taken against any personnel found guilty, as per the established rules and regulations. This series of actions is seen as a strong signal to the bureaucracy about the administration's commitment to accountability and clean governance.
