Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova addressed the situation, emphasising the need for continued communication between Washington and Caracas. Speaking from the Russian capital, Zakharova framed diplomacy as the only rational path forward to avoid a serious flare-up. She explicitly stated that Russia expects US President Donald Trump to adopt a "rational approach" and engage in peaceful negotiations.
