The centre itself is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, featuring advanced AI capabilities powered by NVIDIA Blackwell Architecture, boasting 168 GB GPU memory for high-performance computing.
Objectives and Focus Areas
The Centre of Excellence in Smart Healthcare has outlined several short-term objectives, including research collaborations with hospitals to validate AI models, undertaking research projects, and publishing findings in academic journals. Additionally, it plans to support five AI startups within the next two years, fostering entrepreneurship in the health-tech domain.
Key focus areas for the centre encompass:
- Medical imaging and diagnostics, such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans.
- Predictive analytics and precision medicine.
- Management and analysis of large healthcare datasets.
By leveraging cutting-edge technologies like the Internet of Things (IoT), machine learning, and other emerging computing tools, the centre aims to develop smarter, more efficient, and accessible healthcare solutions. It will promote collaboration with healthcare providers, hospitals, and stakeholders to seamlessly integrate AI-driven innovations into existing systems and workflows.
