Meerut Brothers Donate Land to Support Iran Attack Victims Amid Humanitarian Crisis

The brothers, residents of Rasoolpur Dhaulri village in the Janikhurd area, were deeply moved by media reports indicating that nearly 200 children have been killed in the ongoing assaults by the US and Israel on Iran. In an interview, Amaan Mustafa explained their motivation, stating, "We felt we had to do something to help those families. We have seen our father engaging in such charitable deeds throughout his life, and we strive to follow in his footsteps. He passed away a few years ago, but his spirit of giving continues to guide us." The family, which operates a timber trading business, has a long history of philanthropy, making this donation a continuation of their commitment to social welfare.
Organizational Efforts and Fundraising Details
The donated plot has been handed over to Anjuman Hussainia, a local organization actively collecting funds for victims affected by the conflict in Iran. According to Tanveer Haider, the cashier of Anjuman Hussainia, the land will be auctioned off, and the proceeds will be dedicated to providing financial assistance to the affected families. Haider elaborated on the process, noting, "The funds raised from the auction will be transferred to Iran through the Iranian embassy in New Delhi, following the completion of all necessary formal procedures. This ensures that the aid reaches those in need efficiently and transparently."
Haider further revealed that the organization has already made significant progress in its fundraising efforts. To date, Anjuman Hussainia has raised and sent Rs 6.1 lakh to Iran via the embassy, with contributions collected through various means, including door-to-door campaigns in Rasoolpur village. Haider shared touching examples, such as several children aged between six and ten donating their piggy bank savings, and one child contributing a bicycle that was later sold for Rs 1,300, adding to the fund.
