The deceased has been identified as Neeraj Meena, a 32-year-old private job employee who lived alone in a rented house in Sudama Nagar, Aishbagh. His parents had passed away, and his sister is married and resides in Haryana. Police reported that Neeraj allegedly died by suicide on Thursday afternoon around 2 pm.
Family Statements
Neeraj's maternal uncle and grandmother informed the police that they had visited him earlier that morning and left around 11 am after providing him with food. Family members revealed that Neeraj was in a relationship with a woman, but approximately two and a half months ago, she married one of his friends. This event deeply disturbed him, and he began showing signs of depression. He often spoke incoherently and expressed suicidal thoughts. Additionally, he reportedly suffered from paranoia, claiming that unknown people were standing outside his house to kill him. Police confirmed that he was undergoing treatment for his condition.
