Mother-Daughter Injured in Noida Car Accident

Noida: A mother and her young daughter sustained serious injuries after being hit by a speeding car inside a residential society in Noida's Sector 79 area. The incident occurred late on Sunday night within the premises of Mahagun Mirabella Society, which falls under the jurisdiction of Sector 113 police station.

Incident Details

According to the complaint lodged with the police, resident Arun Bhardwaj was walking with his wife, Kitika, and daughter, Aasra Singh, towards the lift area of the society at around 10:40 pm on Sunday. During this time, a Delhi-registered car allegedly being driven recklessly entered the area and struck the family.

The impact of the collision left Kitika and Aasra seriously injured. Arun Bhardwaj escaped with minor injuries as he had moved slightly to the side at the time of the accident. The injured mother and daughter were immediately rushed to a private hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment.

Police Investigation

Following the incident, Bhardwaj filed a complaint with the police, providing details of the vehicle involved, including its registration number. Based on the complaint, police have registered a case against the unidentified driver and initiated an investigation.

Officials said they are examining CCTV footage installed within the society to ascertain the sequence of events and identify the driver responsible for the accident. The footage is expected to play a crucial role in determining the circumstances leading to the collision and in tracing the accused.

Residents' Concerns

Residents of the society have expressed concern over vehicle speeds within residential premises and have urged authorities to enforce stricter traffic regulations inside housing complexes to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Police said further action will be taken based on the findings of the ongoing investigation.
