UP Board Issues Final Call for Student Detail Corrections in Prayagraj
Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board secretary Bhagwati Singh has issued a firm directive to all schools in Prayagraj. Schools must correct student details for the upcoming 2026 high school and intermediate examinations. The board has set a strict deadline of January 25 for all pending correction cases.
Submission Process for Principals
Principals bear the primary responsibility for this correction drive. If any error remains in student particulars, or if any record requires deletion or restoration, principals must act immediately. They need to submit such cases directly to the office of the District Inspector of Schools, known as DIOS.
All submissions must reach the DIOS office by January 25. Principals must include all necessary supporting documents with their requests. This ensures proper verification and processing.
DIOS Role and Further Action
The District Inspector of Schools will then compile the received information. DIOS officials will create a school-wise list of all errors, deletions, or restoration requests. This list must include clear recommendations from the DIOS.
All supporting records must accompany this list. The DIOS office must forward the complete package to the concerned regional office. This forwarding must happen by January 31 for further necessary action by the board.
Final Opportunity for Students
The board has clearly stated that this represents the last chance for students. Candidates must correct their details now to avoid problems during the examinations. The board aims to ensure no student faces issues due to incorrect personal information.
Previously, the board opened its website multiple times for online corrections. Principals could submit corrections through this online portal. The board also accepted offline correction requests for specific details.
These offline requests covered student names, parent names, and dates of birth. Regional office recommendations formed the basis for accepting these offline corrections.
Board Expresses Displeasure Over Negligence
Despite these repeated opportunities, the board continues to receive complaints. Some districts and schools still report uncorrected student details. Secretary Bhagwati Singh has expressed strong displeasure about this situation.
Singh highlighted negligence shown by certain principals and officials. He emphasized that these individuals have failed to discharge their responsibilities properly. The board expects full cooperation from all educational institutions.
Importance of Timely Compliance
The board has stressed the critical importance of meeting these deadlines. Timely compliance directly safeguards student interests. It ensures the error-free issuance of admit cards for all candidates.
Accurate examination records depend on correct student details. The board wants to prevent any administrative hurdles during exam conduction. All schools must prioritize this correction process to support their students effectively.
