The Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) has initiated the second round of pre-board examinations for students of Classes X and XII across all CM Schools of Excellence in the state. The move, which started on Wednesday, is a strategic step to bolster students' readiness for the crucial upcoming board exams.
Massive Student Participation and Exam Logistics
A total of 13,660 students are appearing for these preparatory tests. The breakdown shows that 6,551 examinees are from Class X, while 7,109 are from Class XII. To guarantee a seamless and transparent examination process, the JEPC has established a dedicated monitoring cell. In line with central board norms, the question papers have been securely dispatched to all schools via official CBSE education email IDs. Authorities have confirmed that the entire process is being conducted strictly adhering to CBSE guidelines.
Performance Analysis and Grading System
Following the examinations, district education officers have been tasked with compiling a consolidated result. This will be followed by a thorough performance analysis of all students. Based on this combined assessment, each student will be categorised into one of four grades: A, B, C, or D. This grading is intended to identify individual learning levels and areas requiring immediate attention.
Targeted Remedial Measures for Weaker Students
In a significant follow-up action, the council has mandated special intervention for students who fall into the C and D categories. These students will be required to attend subject-wise and day-wise remedial classes for two hours daily. The focused sessions are designed to bridge specific learning gaps identified in the pre-board exams.
Furthermore, schools have received instructions to organise daily practice sessions using subject-specific model test papers. This intensive practice regimen is scheduled to continue until February 10, ensuring sustained revision even after the pre-board exams conclude. This two-pronged strategy of assessment and targeted support aims to maximise the final board exam performance of students in Jharkhand's flagship schools.
