Don Bosco Academy (DBA) in Patna celebrated its Annual Day at the Bapu Sabhagar Auditorium, centered on the powerful theme "The World We Make — Don Bosco’s call for a better tomorrow." This event beautifully highlighted the school's five-decade-long dedication to providing value-based, holistic education that nurtures students into responsible citizens.
Distinguished Guests and School Leadership
The programme was graced by chief guest B Rajendra, the additional chief secretary of the education department, and guest of honour Ignatius Topno, principal of St Xavier’s College of Education in Patna. The DBA management, including director Alfred George De Rozario, founder and principal Dorothy Joy De Rozario, principal Mary Alphonsa, vice-principal Eric John De Rozario, bursar Michael Daniell, and administrative head Fiona Healey, were present alongside educators, professors, and publishers.

After the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, students captivated the audience with a spectacular showcase of talent. Theme-inspired performances included:

In his address, B Rajendra commended the students for their achievements and underscored the critical importance of blending education with strong moral values to serve the nation responsibly.
Annual Sports Day at Holy Mission Secondary School
In a related event, Holy Mission Secondary School hosted its Annual Sports Day on campus, inaugurated by Atul Kumar, senior divisional personnel officer of ECR Danapur, who lit the ceremonial lamp. The campus buzzed with festive energy as students, parents, and teachers participated enthusiastically.
The programme began with a melodious welcome song and prayer dance. Students engaged in fun events such as:
- Banana, biscuit, spoon-marble, sack, and three-legged races
- Long jump competitions
- 100 m and 200 m dashes
Additional highlights included karate demonstrations, pom-pom drills, pyramid formations, and a house-wise tug-of-war, all showcasing skill and teamwork to loud applause. Red House emerged as the champion, with Yellow House as the runner-up, and winners received medals and certificates.
