Inorganic Chemistry heavily relies on the NCERT textbook. Focus areas like Chemical Bonding, Coordination Compounds, and the p-block and d- & f-block elements require a blend of memorisation and understanding. For Organic Chemistry, the NCERT textbook again is paramount. High-scoring chapters include Basic Organic Chemistry (GOC), Hydrocarbons, and functional groups like Alcohols, Aldehydes, and Amines. Recurring themes test knowledge of Named Reactions, Acidity-Basicity Trends, and Reaction Mechanisms.
