MPIDC Starts Land Allotment in New Tilgara Industrial Zone

The Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC) has kickstarted the process of allotting land in its newly developed industrial zone at Tilgara, near Badnawar in Dhar district. This move signals a fresh wave of industrial expansion in western Madhya Pradesh and is aimed at attracting investments from diverse, multi-product industries.

Tilgara Marks Its First Major Investment

Officials confirmed that the corporation has allotted 4 hectares of land to a plastic manufacturing company in the Tilgara industrial area. This allotment represents the first major investment in this new zone, which is being developed over approximately 150 hectares at an estimated cost of Rs 67 crore. Strategically located near Badnawar, the area is being positioned as a key growth hub for small and medium-scale manufacturing units, with infrastructure development currently in progress.

A Broader Push for Industrial Growth in Western MP

In parallel, MPIDC is accelerating work on several other upcoming industrial areas in the region to meet rising investor interest, particularly from those looking at the Indore region, which houses the state's largest industrial belt, Pithampur. These new zones include:

  • Tarapur, proposed to span 256 hectares.
  • Lalbagh Basvi, planned to cover 216 hectares.
  • Bhaisola, a major zone spread over more than 200 hectares and located strategically near the upcoming PM MITRA Park, which is expected to significantly boost textile and allied industries.

Focus on Infrastructure and Ease of Business

MPIDC Executive Director Himanshu Prajapati stated that the corporation is speeding up the development of new industrial zones to cater to growing investor demand. He emphasized that the land allotment at Tilgara is just the beginning of industrial activity in the area. "MPIDC is focusing on creating well-planned industrial infrastructure to facilitate ease of doing business and attract sustainable investments across various sectors," Prajapati said. This concerted effort underscores the state's commitment to transforming western Madhya Pradesh into a robust industrial corridor.
