Delivery Timelines Begin

Deliveries for the XUV 7XO have already started. They commenced from today, January 14, 2026. For the XEV 9S, deliveries are scheduled to begin a bit later. The first units will roll out from January 26, 2026.

XEV 9S: Battery and Trim Details

The XEV 9S comes with multiple options to suit different needs. It is offered in four distinct trims. These are Pack One Above, Pack Two Above, Pack Three, and Pack Three Above. Mahindra provides three battery choices across this lineup.

A new addition has been made to the battery options. The company introduced a third battery choice for the XEV 9S. This is a 70kWh pack paired with a 245hp rear-mounted motor. However, this setup is not available on all variants. It is exclusive to the mid-range Pack Two Above trim.

This specific configuration delivers an excellent range. It achieves an ARAI-certified range of up to 600 kilometers. The base Pack One Above continues with the 59kWh battery unit. The larger 79kWh battery is offered more widely. It is available across the entire range of the XEV 9S.

Feature-Rich Cabin of the XEV 9S

The XEV 9S boasts a highly advanced and comfortable interior. It gets a triple 12.3-inch display setup. This includes a central touchscreen, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a dedicated screen for the front passenger.

Comfort and convenience features are plentiful. The SUV comes with dual-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof. Multi-colour ambient lighting enhances the cabin atmosphere. Both front seats are 6-way powered for optimal adjustment.

Technology integration is a strong point. It features dual wireless charging pads. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay come standard. An augmented reality head-up display projects vital information onto the windshield.

Entertainment is top-notch with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. This system supports Dolby Atmos for an immersive sound experience. Front and rear seat ventilation ensures comfort in all weather conditions. A 540-degree camera provides excellent visibility around the vehicle.

Rear seat passengers are particularly well catered to. The SUV includes a BYOD mount for tablets. Two high-output 65W Type-C ports are provided for fast charging. There is even a separate wireless charging pad for rear occupants. The outer rear seats also get ventilation.

Despite this extensive list, one feature is notably absent. The XEV 9S does not include a powered tailgate. This is a minor omission in an otherwise feature-rich package.

Safety and Mechanical Specifications

Safety is a paramount concern for Mahindra. The XUV 7XO is equipped with Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). A 540-degree camera aids in parking and low-speed maneuvering.

Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold enhance driving safety. ISOFIX child seat anchors, a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and front and rear sensors are standard.

For challenging terrain, it includes hill descent control and hill hold assist. An auto-dimming interior rearview mirror (IRVM) reduces glare from following vehicles.

Under the hood, the XUV 7XO retains familiar powertrains. It is available with a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox. The diesel variant also offers an All-Wheel Drive (AWD) option for better traction.
