IMD Issues Yellow Alert for Thunderstorms and Lightning Across Jharkhand This Weekend
The Ranchi office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorm and lightning activities across the state of Jharkhand for Saturday and Sunday. This alert signals potentially hazardous weather conditions that residents should be prepared for.

On Sunday, the north-eastern regions of Jharkhand, including Sahibganj, Pakur, Godda, Dumka, Deoghar, Jamtara, and Giridih, are likely to receive light to moderate rain or thunderstorms. Abhishek Anand of the IMD provided these detailed forecasts, emphasizing the widespread nature of the expected weather events.

Authorities advise staying indoors during severe weather, avoiding open areas, and securing loose objects to mitigate these risks. The alert underscores the importance of heeding meteorological updates to ensure public safety during such events.
