Intel Elevates Santhosh Viswanathan to Lead Asia Pacific and Japan Operations
In a significant strategic move, Intel Corporation has announced the promotion of Santhosh Viswanathan to the position of vice president and managing director for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region. This appointment marks a major expansion of his leadership responsibilities, transitioning from his previous role overseeing Intel India to now managing one of the company's most diverse and rapidly growing markets.

In his new capacity, Viswanathan will be tasked with overseeing Intel's comprehensive business operations, brand management, and customer engagements across the APJ region. This restructuring aims to bring the entire area under a single, cohesive leadership framework. His primary objectives will include driving substantial growth, fortifying existing partnerships, and advancing Intel's strategic initiatives across multiple geographies within APJ.
A Veteran Leader with Extensive Experience
Viswanathan brings over two decades of experience at Intel to this role, having held various leadership positions across India, Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Managing Director for Intel India, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the country as a critical growth engine for the corporation. Prior to that, he was the Global Director of Operations in the U.S., where he led sales operations strategy and planning for Intel's global sales organization.
