Bengaluru: After enduring days of intense summer heat, the city may finally get some relief, with light to moderate showers expected after two days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The city recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degrees Celsius on Sunday, while the minimum stood at 23.1 degrees Celsius.

Weather Forecast for Bengaluru

According to the IMD forecast, the city is expected to experience mainly clear skies that will turn partly cloudy by afternoon. There are chances of light showers over the next couple of days. Daytime temperatures are likely to remain around 36 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures may hover near 23 degrees Celsius. However, heat conditions are expected to persist for now.

Weather Conditions Across Karnataka

Elsewhere in Karnataka, weather conditions are set to vary across regions. Coastal districts, including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada, are likely to receive light rain or thundershowers, accompanied by gusty winds of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Isolated pockets may continue to experience hot and humid conditions.

In north interior Karnataka, districts like Belagavi, Dharwad, Haveri, Gadag, Kalaburagi, Yadgir, Raichur, and Koppal may witness light rain or thundershowers at isolated places, while most other areas are likely to remain dry.

Parts of south interior Karnataka, including Shivamogga, Chikkamagaluru, Hassan, and Kodagu, may also receive light rain with gusty winds, even as dry weather is expected to prevail elsewhere in the region.
