A tragic road accident on the Delhi-Mumbai-Vadodara Expressway in Nuh district claimed four lives and left two others seriously injured on Saturday morning. The incident occurred around 6:30 am near pillar number 64, between Rawa and Baghola villages, when an SUV traveling towards Delhi crashed into a truck parked on the roadside.
Details of the Accident
According to police reports, the impact of the collision was so severe that four of the six occupants of the SUV died instantly. The deceased have been identified as Poonam Jadon (37), her daughter Khushi (16), son Kanha alias Duggi (14), and their tenant Keshav Yadav (22). The family originally hailed from Nawali village in Sawai Madhopur district, Rajasthan, but were residing in Jaipur's Shiv Kunda ki Talai area. Keshav Yadav, a resident of Kotputali in Rajasthan, worked as a nursing staff member at a hospital in Jaipur.
Injured and Treatment
The injured include Poonam's husband Jawahar Lal (42) and his son Akshay (11). Both were rushed to Mandikheda Hospital, where Jawahar Lal is undergoing treatment. Akshay, due to the severity of his injuries, has been referred to a hospital in Delhi for advanced care.
Police Investigation
An FIR has been registered against the truck driver, identified as Yusuf, a resident of Nawabgarh village in Nuh district, who fled the scene after the accident. The case has been filed at the Ferozpur Jhirka Sadar police station. Investigating Officer Yadram stated, "The post-mortem examination is being conducted, and further investigation is underway."
Suspicions of Foul Play
Shubham, the brother of the deceased Poonam, has expressed suspicions of a conspiracy behind the accident. He pointed out that Jawahar Lal was Poonam's second husband, while Khushi and Kanha were from her first husband, the late Dharm Singh. Shubham questioned, "While others died on the spot, how is it that Jawahar Lal and his son Akshay only sustained injuries?" He urged the police to investigate all angles thoroughly.
The incident has once again raised concerns about road safety on the Delhi-Mumbai-Vadodara Expressway, where parked vehicles and speeding cars often lead to fatal crashes. Authorities have urged drivers to exercise caution and adhere to traffic regulations.
