Indrajaal Secures Rs 100 Crore Defence Contracts for Anti-Drone Systems
Indrajaal gets Rs 100 cr defence deal for anti-drone tech

In a significant boost to India's defence capabilities, Hyderabad-based technology firm Indrajaal has announced the securing of major contracts from the Ministry of Defence. The deals, cumulatively valued at Rs 100 crore, are for the deployment of the company's advanced, multi-layered autonomous anti-drone defence systems to protect critical installations of the Indian Army and the Indian Navy.

Strategic Deployment Across Key Borders

Founder and CEO Kiran Raju revealed the strategic nature of the deployment plan. The Indian Navy will install the Indrajaal system at key naval ports along the western seaboard. Simultaneously, the Indian Army will deploy the technology along the eastern border and other sensitive strategic locations. Raju described these orders as a defining step for India's defence ecosystem, enabling an airspace that can sense, decide, and respond at machine speed.

"As autonomous systems are deployed across Army and Naval installations, we are strengthening national security through autonomy, resilience, and indigenous innovation," Raju stated on Wednesday. This move marks a pivotal shift towards integrating cutting-edge, homegrown technology into the nation's core defence infrastructure.

The Technology Behind Indrajaal's Defence Shield

Indrajaal's counter-drone suite is not a single-point solution but a comprehensive, multi-layered network. It is designed to provide a seamless defensive umbrella without blind spots or operational delays. The system boasts a combination of capabilities to handle diverse threats:

  • Cyber Takeover: Gaining control of hostile drones.
  • Soft-Denial & Soft-Kill: Disabling drones using methods like jamming.
  • Hard-Kill: Physically destroying the threat when necessary.

This allows the system to detect, track, and neutralise drone threats effectively across a wide area.

AI-Powered Command with SkyOS C5ISRT

The brain of this operation is Indrajaal's proprietary SkyOS C5ISRT platform. Developed in Hyderabad, this sophisticated platform integrates several critical functions into one unified system:

  1. Command and Control
  2. Communications and Computers
  3. Cyber Defence
  4. Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR)
  5. Targeting

Powered by artificial intelligence, SkyOS enables real-time decision-making with minimal human intervention. This AI-driven approach dramatically compresses response timelines from minutes to mere seconds, while still maintaining crucial human oversight for final operational commands.

The awarding of these substantial contracts to a domestic player underscores the Indian defence establishment's growing confidence in locally developed, innovative technology. It represents a major milestone for Indrajaal and a step forward in India's quest for strategic self-reliance, or Atmanirbharta, in defence technology.
