Varanasi: Police commissioner Mohit Agarwal has called upon newly inducted constables and officer-rank policemen to become techno-savvy in order to effectively combat modern-age crime and issues. He conducted the annual inspection of Sigra and Bhelupur police stations on Saturday evening. While interacting with newly inducted constables after the completion of their training, he emphasized that their focus should be on seeking regular training to get accustomed to digital tools. He instructed officials to conduct regular practical exercises to make the constables tech-savvy and proficient in modern technologies, with the aim of turning them into a valuable asset for the department.
Focus on Digital Tools and Field Training
Instructions were issued to provide the constables with adequate knowledge of CCTNS, CDR analysis, CCTV and DVR operation, e-evidence and e-summons systems, Operation Chakravyuh, Yaksha App, and the RTC system. The police commissioner stressed the importance of keeping newly recruited constables away from office work in the initial phase and instead making them proficient in field duty. He also directed officials to ensure the availability of basic amenities, including accommodation, food, and clean drinking water. Furthermore, he emphasized 100% beat allocation by pairing each newly appointed constable with experienced personnel to help them gain practical field experience.
Investigation Division and Timely Disposal
The police commissioner sought information on the progress of creating the Special Investigation Division (SID) and the investigation register. He directed officials to ensure 100% unique SID in every case and quality, impartial, and time-bound disposal within 60 days. Among those present during the inspections were DCP Kashi Zone Gaurav Banshwal and ADCP Vaibhav Bangar. This initiative aims to modernize the police force and enhance its effectiveness in dealing with contemporary challenges.
