Ranchi Conference Drives Global Tech Collaboration & IIT-Delhi MoU
Ranchi Tech Conference: Experts Push for Industry-Academia Ties

Leading experts from India and across the globe converged in Ranchi to champion stronger research ties, technological breakthroughs, and deeper industry-academia partnerships. This call to action was the central theme of the international conference on 'Recent Trends in Intelligent Computing, Manufacturing, and Electronics,' which commenced on Friday.

Forging Partnerships for a Smarter Future

The three-day event is being organized by the National Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology (NIAMT) in partnership with the Jharkhand Council on Science, Technology, and Innovation. It falls under the state's department of higher and technical education. The conference has assembled a distinguished gathering of professors, scientists, and researchers to deliberate on global advancements that are defining the future of intelligent systems and high-tech production.

A significant milestone was achieved on the opening day with the formalization of a major research partnership. An MoU was signed between NIAMT and the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT-Delhi). The agreement was inked by NIAMT registrar Arvind Pandey and IIT director Rajeev Srivastava, marking a pivotal step towards collaborative innovation.

Diverse Tech Frontiers Under Discussion

The technical sessions at the conference are delving into a broad spectrum of cutting-edge fields that are revolutionizing industries worldwide. Key areas of focus include:

  • Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning
  • Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, and Edge Computing
  • Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), and Cyber-Physical Systems
  • Embedded Systems and Advanced Manufacturing like 3D Printing & Industrial IoT

Madhu Kumari, the head of the Electronics and Communication Engineering department at NIAMT, explained the conference's mission. She stated that the session was crafted to establish a substantive platform for students and scholars to interact with international academics on advanced topics. The goal is to broaden participants' horizons by exposing them to diverse global viewpoints, thereby inspiring them to chase innovative concepts that will mold the future of smart systems and manufacturing.

The Power of Integration in Smart Manufacturing

Echoing the core conference theme, Professor M Pandey from IIT-Delhi elaborated on the transformative potential of integrated technologies. He emphasized that smart manufacturing is born from the potent fusion of computing, manufacturing processes, and electronics. When these domains synergize, they create an intelligent ecosystem where machines interact flawlessly, processes can self-correct, and production efficiency achieves unprecedented levels.

The conference in Ranchi stands as a testament to India's growing emphasis on fostering a collaborative environment where academic research and industrial application converge. It highlights a concerted drive to prepare the next generation of engineers and technologists for the challenges and opportunities presented by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
