In a landmark accomplishment for academic research in India, the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur (IIT-Jodhpur) has set a new institutional record by filing 86 Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) in the calendar year 2025. This figure represents the highest number of annual IPR filings since the institute was established, underscoring its rapid ascent as a premier center for cutting-edge innovation.

The impressive tally of 86 IPRs is composed of 77 patent applications, five design registrations, and four copyrights. Notably, this achievement signifies a staggering year-on-year growth of more than 150% compared to the previous year's filings, highlighting an accelerated pace of discovery and protection.
