Videos shared by FreedomNewsTV and footage from Nina Lin's own livestream showed the streamer standing on top of what witnesses described as an Amazon vehicle near Madison Square Garden. The area was packed with Knicks fans following the team's championship-clinching victory. According to FreedomNewsTV, police had set up barricades around several streets near the arena and were moving crowds away from restricted areas. The measures were put in place as large numbers of fans gathered outside official watch-party zones. Additional clips shared on social media appeared to show fans chanting Knicks in 5 around the vehicle before officers stepped in. Shortly afterward, New York Police Department officers detained Lin and escorted her away from the scene. As of June 14, authorities have not publicly confirmed whether any formal charge has been filed against her.

Nina Lin's Past Twitch Controversy Returns to Focus After Arrest

The arrest has once again drawn attention to Nina Lin's online history. The IRL streamer has built a large audience through public livestreams, but she has also faced criticism over some of her on-camera actions. In October 2025, Twitch banned Nina Lin and fellow streamer Zoe Spencer after an older clip resurfaced online. The video sparked backlash from viewers, who accused the pair of inappropriate, non-consensual behavior toward Said, an assistant to FaZe Silky. The incident led to wider discussions about moderation policies on Twitch. Meanwhile, New York City continued celebrating the Knicks' historic championship. The title was the franchise's first since 1973, and Jalen Brunson was named NBA Finals MVP after scoring 45 points in the series-clinching victory. City officials have also been preparing for a championship parade in Manhattan as fans continue marking a moment many had waited decades to see.
