Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 Expands: New Modes, Maps & Free Skin
Fortnite Chapter 7 S1 Update: New Modes, Maps, Free Skin

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 1 is receiving a substantial infusion of fresh content, keeping the battle royale landscape dynamic. The latest update brings significant changes and additions across multiple popular game modes, including Blitz Royale, Reload, and the return of Ranked play. Players have a host of new quests, points of interest (POIs), gameplay mechanics, and limited-time rewards to explore in the coming days.

Blitz Royale Gets a Major Overhaul

The fast-paced Blitz Royale mode has been completely refreshed. Epic Games has introduced a modified loot pool, giving players access to powerful new items like the Iron Pump Shotgun, the Arc Lightning Gun, and the explosive Grenade Launcher. Utility items like the Self Revive and the Wingsuit are also now part of the action.

A brand new map, Starfall Island, is the centerpiece of this update. This island features three distinct new points of interest for players to battle over: Holloway House, Ritzy Redux, and Boutique Bay. Battle Pass holders can also unlock the exclusive Media Blitz Cat outfit by completing the newly added Kickstart Quests.

Reload Mode Enhancements and Ranked Returns

Reload mode isn't left behind, receiving its own new map and key gameplay improvements. The updated island now includes locations such as Sus Studios, Sweaty Shores, and Divey Dam. To facilitate quicker movement across the map, the Wingsuit has been added to this mode.

Other notable improvements for Reload include a Rank Reset, new Mastery Quests and Rewards, a Simple Build setting, updated hit markers, and an overhaul of the ammo indicator and gold bar system. Completing Mastery tasks will reward players with a wrap, an emote, and an exclusive Battle Pass style. Future updates for Reload are expected to bring Storm Surfing and evolving Morphite Weapons.

In exciting news for competitive players, Ranked mode has made its official return. This comeback is sweetened with a major incentive: a free Fortnite skin. Players can unlock the Felinos Outfit by completing three performance-based Ranked challenges: eliminating players in Ranked Reload, placing Top 10 in Ranked Battle Royale, and both eliminating three players and placing Top 10 in a single match.

Additional timed rewards include the Felino’s Fury Wrap for completing 1 Ranked Quest and the Felino’s Claw Pickaxe for completing 2. These missions require strong in-match performance to complete before they expire.

OG Mode Paused Ahead of Season 7

The popular Fortnite OG mode has been temporarily disabled as Epic Games prepares for the launch of OG Season 7, expected on December 11. In the interim, players can engage with new Battle Bus-based missions that offer XP, an exclusive emote, and back bling as rewards.

The development team hints at more updates and collaborations as Chapter 7 Season 1 progresses. The community can anticipate the usual Winterfest celebrations and additional crossover content in the near future. With several modes receiving substantial changes and new content, Fortnite players in India and globally have plenty to keep them engaged.
