The new Mercedes-Benz CLA electric will be available in two distinct variants to cater to different customer needs:
- CLA 250+ Long Range: This variant is equipped with an 85 kWh battery pack paired with a single electric motor that delivers power to the rear wheels, generating 268 horsepower and 335 Nm of torque. It features a two-speed gearbox and boasts a claimed range of up to 792 km under WLTP testing standards. Deliveries for this variant will begin from the end of April 2026, shortly after the launch event.

Charging Capabilities and Network
The charging infrastructure for the CLA electric is designed for efficiency and convenience. The CLA 250+ supports DC fast charging of up to 320 kW, enabling it to add up to 400 km of range in just 20 minutes. In comparison, the CLA 200 supports up to 200 kW DC fast charging, adding up to 320 km of range in the same timeframe. For AC charging, both variants support up to 22 kW through a wallbox charger, with 11 kW as the standard offering.
Through Mercedes' MB.CHARGE network, users gain access to over 9,000 charging points across India, ensuring extensive coverage and reducing range anxiety for long-distance travel.
Design and Aerodynamic Features
The new Mercedes-Benz CLA EV emphasizes aerodynamics with a drag coefficient of just 0.21, enhancing efficiency and performance. The sedan adopts a low stance, longer wheelbase, and short overhangs for balanced proportions and improved stability.
At the front, it features a gloss-black closed grille panel adorned with illuminated star-pattern elements and a central Mercedes emblem. Slim LED headlamps are connected by a light bar across the fascia, while the bumper incorporates functional air inlets to aid cooling and airflow.
In profile, the CLA EV retains frameless doors and a sloping roofline, complemented by flush door handles and aerodynamically designed alloy wheels that further improve efficiency. The rear showcases a full-width LED light bar with star-pattern detailing, mirroring the front lighting design, and a clean bumper finish. Additional features include chrome accents, a grille with 142 small backlit stars, a panoramic glass roof with heat-protective coating, and five-spoke aero wheels.

The cabin of the Mercedes-Benz CLA EV is designed with a minimalist, screen-focused approach that prioritizes technology and usability. The centerpiece is a dual-screen layout comprising a 10.25-inch digital driver's display and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Key features include a three-spoke steering wheel with touch-sensitive controls, a carbon-fiber finish on the center console for a sportier aesthetic, and 64-colour ambient lighting.
