Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast has announced a strategic partnership with ChargeZone, an Indian EV charging infrastructure company, to build a comprehensive nationwide charging network across India. This collaboration aims to strengthen VinFast's presence in the Indian market and accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in the country.
Details of the Partnership
Under the agreement, VinFast and ChargeZone will jointly develop a network of fast-charging stations along major highways and in key urban centers. The first phase of the rollout will focus on installing over 100 charging stations across multiple states, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. These stations will be equipped with both CCS2 and CHAdeMO connectors to support a wide range of electric vehicles.
Strategic Importance
This partnership is a significant step for VinFast as it enters the Indian market, which is one of the fastest-growing electric vehicle markets globally. By collaborating with ChargeZone, which already operates over 500 charging points across India, VinFast can leverage existing infrastructure and expertise to quickly establish a reliable charging network.
