Siddhanth Kapoor Balances Acting, DJing, and Professional Poker Career
Siddhanth Kapoor on Juggling Acting, DJing, and Poker

Actor Siddhanth Kapoor is embracing a unique trifecta in his professional life, balancing his time between being an actor, a DJ, and now, a professional poker player. He shared, "I started playing in 1999 and I just did it for fun. But then it started becoming good for me and I started getting booked. So, it became a little career because then slowly money started coming in. I'm also playing a lot of poker now professionally. I travel around the world. I got staked by companies to play sometimes."

Never Wanted to Be a Quintessential Bollywood Hero

For Siddhanth, it is the "adrenaline rush" to juggle three different careers. Recently seen in Mandala Murders as an actor, he reflected on his over-a-decade-long journey: "Every journey is an experience and a process. I don't believe in positioning yourself as a superstar and prove to the world that you are the best. I believe differently, in an organic and real way. I like to follow my art and not let the other things affect me in any way. I never wanted to be a quintessential Bollywood hero. I have always been attracted to the unconventional, real, dark, edgy, and festival stuff. Not too commercial. I'm very real for non-real things."

Immune to Industry Perceptions

Siddhanth also spoke about the perceptions people often form about actors and how he has chosen to stay untouched by them. In an industry quick to label an actor a hit or flop, he seems immune to outside judgment. "I had nothing to go through because it didn't come to me. I was pretty sorted in my head. I don't really think it affected me," he said. Even when compared to his father, veteran actor Shakti Kapoor, or sister Shraddha Kapoor, Siddhanth prefers not to dwell. "I don't react," he admitted. "It's the only way to live right now. Otherwise, you're gonna be in stress 24x7."
