Digital India's Global Impact

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the Digital India initiative has bestowed a new identity upon India across the world. Speaking at the Digital India Summit, he emphasized how the program has revolutionized governance and brought about a paradigm shift in the lives of citizens.

Transformative Governance

The Digital India campaign, launched in 2015, aims to transform the country into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. Modi highlighted that the initiative has made government services more accessible, transparent, and efficient. He noted that over 4.5 billion digital transactions take place annually, showcasing the scale of adoption.

According to the Prime Minister, digital infrastructure has become the backbone of India's development. He cited the example of Aadhaar, the world's largest biometric ID system, which has enabled targeted delivery of subsidies and benefits, saving billions of dollars.
