64 Arrested in Jaipur's Cybercrime Crackdown Operation

In a significant move against digital crime, the Jaipur Range police have apprehended 64 individuals during a rigorous two-day special drive. The operation, named 'Operation Cyber Vajra Prahar 2.0', marks a major crackdown on cyber fraud networks operating in the region.

Coordinated Effort Under Top Supervision

The drive was executed under the direct supervision of Jaipur Range Inspector General of Police H G Raghvendra Suhasa. He directed the superintendents of police across all eight districts within the Jaipur Range to constitute special teams for this purpose. The action was initiated based on suspicious data analytics provided by the Police Headquarters (PHQ) and the cyber crime branch of the Jaipur Range.

Substantial Recoveries and Cases Registered

The coordinated effort led to the registration of 20 First Information Reports (FIRs), while 198 suspects were subjected to detailed interrogation. Police officials reported significant recoveries of assets linked to various cyber frauds and digital offences.

The seized items include:

  • 53 mobile phones
  • 31 SIM cards
  • 18 ATM cards
  • 4 bank passbooks
  • 2 cars
  • 1 voice converter device
  • Rs 24,800 in cash

District-Wise Breakdown of Arrests

The crackdown saw widespread action across the eight districts. Jaipur Rural district recorded the highest number of arrests with 17 individuals taken into custody in three cases. Recoveries here included a car, 27 mobile phones, 17 ATM cards, four bank passbooks, and a voice converter device.

Alwar district followed with 18 arrests made in connection with seven cases. Police recovered a Swift car, 13 mobile phones, 10 SIM cards, and cash from the accused.

Other districts also contributed to the operation's success:

  • Khairthal-Tijara: 10 arrests in five cases.
  • Bhiwadi: 5 arrests in four cases.
  • Jhunjhunu: 7 arrests in two cases.
  • Sikar: 3 arrests.
  • Dausa: 2 arrests in one case.
  • Kotputli-Behror: 2 arrests.

IGP Suhasa emphasized that such targeted operations against cybercriminals will continue, sending a strong message that digital crimes will not be tolerated. The success of Operation Cyber Vajra Prahar 2.0 highlights the police's evolving strategy to combat tech-enabled fraud and protect citizens from financial and data theft.
