The company announced the launch of an integrated ERP platform that will directly compete with established global players like Oracle and Microsoft. Sivaramakrishnan Iswaran, Global Head of Finance and Operations at Zoho, highlighted the significant opportunities the company sees in the current ERP landscape. He pointed out that many existing ERP systems suffer from complexity, high costs, lengthy implementation timelines, and a design philosophy that prioritizes consultants over end-users. "Currently, the challenges of companies are overlooked," Iswaran stated, emphasizing that Zoho aims to fill these gaps with a more user-centric approach.

Unlike traditional ERP systems, Zoho's new platform incorporates natively embedded artificial intelligence across all functions. This AI integration enables advanced features such as voice-based assistance, predictive analytics for business insights, and automated anomaly detection to identify potential issues before they escalate.

He noted that this launch represents the culmination of 18 years of development effort, tracing back to Zoho's initial foray into finance and operations software in 2008.

Zoho co-founder and Chief Scientist Sridhar Vembu revealed that a significant portion of the team responsible for developing the Zoho ERP platform operates from the company's regional office in Kumbakonam, Tamil Nadu. As the product scales and rolls out globally, Zoho plans to continue hiring local talent from the Kumbakonam region to support its growth trajectory. Currently employing approximately 200 people in Kumbakonam, the company aims to significantly expand its presence with plans for a new facility capable of accommodating 2,000 seats.
