Tata Motors has launched the new Tata Curvv EV Series X electric coupe SUV in the Indian market, expanding its lineup with new variants aimed at enhancing appeal in the long-range electric SUV segment. This update balances affordability with capability, offering a larger battery pack and improved driving range without a significant price increase. Customers can book the EV online or visit their nearest dealership, with deliveries expected to begin soon. Price and Variants
The new Tata Curvv EV Series X is available in three variants: Accomplished X priced at Rs 16.99 lakh, Empowered X at Rs 19.19 lakh, and Empowered X Dark Edition at Rs 19.49 lakh (all prices ex-showroom). The Hyundai Creta Electric comes in eight variants: Executive, Executive Tech, Executive (O), Smart, Smart (O), Premium, Excellence, and Excellence Knight edition, priced between Rs 18.02 lakh and Rs 24.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Creta Electric starts at Rs 1.03 lakh higher than the Tata Curvv EV, while its top variant is Rs 5.21 lakh more expensive.
Battery and Range
The Curvv EV Series X is equipped with a single 55 kWh battery pack paired with a single PMSM electric motor producing 167 hp and 215 Nm of torque. It claims an MIDC range of 502 km. Using a 7.2 kW AC charger, charging from 10 to 100 percent takes 7.6 hours, while a DC fast charger can charge from 10 to 80 percent in 40 minutes. The Hyundai Creta Electric offers two battery options: a 42 kWh pack with an ARAI-rated range of 390 km and a 51.4 kWh pack with a range of 473 km. The motor outputs 135 PS with the smaller battery and 171 PS with the larger pack. Using a DC fast charger, the Creta EV can go from 10 to 80 percent charge in 58 minutes. An 11 kW AC home charger requires 4 hours for a full recharge from 10 to 100 percent.

The Tata Curvv EV measures 4,310 mm in length, 1,810 mm in width, and 1,637 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,560 mm. The Hyundai Creta Electric is 30 mm longer, 20 mm narrower, and 18 mm taller than the Tata Curvv EV, and also has a 50 mm longer wheelbase.
