Oppo launches Reno16 and Reno16C with AI cameras in India

Oppo has officially launched its latest Reno16 series smartphones in India, introducing the Reno16 and Reno16C models with a focus on advanced camera systems, AI features, and long-lasting batteries. The devices were unveiled at an event in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Design and Display

The Reno16 series introduces Oppo's HoloVerse 3D design, featuring industry-first 3D Pop Planet images. The design includes a Floating 3D Glitter finish and a Dynamic Stellar Ring, giving the phones a unique visual identity. The Reno16 sports a 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED display, while the Reno16C comes with a 6.32-inch AMOLED screen.

Performance and Battery

Under the hood, the Reno16 is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, paired with a 6,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging. The Reno16C, on the other hand, features a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset and a larger 7,000mAh battery, also with 80W fast charging. Both models promise extended usage and quick top-ups.

Camera Capabilities

The camera setup on both phones includes a triple-lens configuration. The Reno16 features a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP telephoto sensor. The Reno16C also has a triple camera setup with a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP secondary sensor. The devices come with generative AI features such as AI Mind Pilot, AI Bill Manager, AI Snap Key, and Google Gemini AI integration for an enhanced photography experience.

Oppo Bubble Accessory

Alongside the smartphones, Oppo also launched the Oppo Bubble, a smart camera companion designed for content creators. It features a 1.73-inch AMOLED display, a 550mAh battery, and IP54 dust and water resistance. The Oppo Bubble is priced at Rs 7,999.

Pricing and Availability

The Oppo Reno16 starts at Rs 61,999, while the Reno16C pricing has not been officially disclosed. Both models will be available for purchase starting next week through Oppo's official website and retail partners across India.
