After medical education minister Sharan Prakash Patil granted approval, the hospital began preparations to acquire the equipment. A demonstration of the system was recently conducted at the hospital, sources confirmed. Dr Drakshayini stated, "We will soon initiate measures for its installation."

Benefits of Robotic Surgery

Dr Neelanagowda Patil, nodal officer of the trauma care centre, explained the advantages of orthopaedic robotic surgery. "This advanced technology improves precision and efficiency in procedures such as joint replacements, spinal injury treatment, and fracture repairs. It reduces human error, minimises tissue damage, and accelerates patient recovery," he said.
