CBSE Students Face Website Glitches While Applying for Revaluation
CBSE Students Face Website Glitches in Revaluation Applications

Chennai: Days after facing technical hassle in applying for scanned copies of their class 12 answer sheets, CBSE students have started to encounter similar problems while applying for revaluation. While several students reported that the website was not loading, others were unable to access the revaluation section. Even those who successfully applied said they could only do so after multiple attempts.

Parent and Student Grievances

“First, we have to apply under the section ‘verification’ and make a payment of ₹100. After that, we can apply for revaluation subject-wise, paying ₹25 each for the question. But I have been unable to apply even for verification,” said R Vidya, a parent of a CBSE student.

Official Response

The CBSE Chennai regional office attributed the problem to heavy traffic on the website and assured that any glitches would be resolved within a few hours. According to the initial schedule, applications for verification and revaluation were to be held from May 26 to May 29 midnight, while answer sheet scans were scheduled from May 19 to May 22. However, due to technical issues, the deadline for answer scans was extended to May 25 midnight. No extension has been announced yet for revaluation dates.

Expectation of Extension

“Several students have been trying to access the portal, but in vain. The board had announced that it would give ample time for students to check the answer scans and then apply for revaluation. There will certainly be an extension of timeline to apply for revaluation. An announcement will come soon,” said a principal of a prominent school in Adyar.
