Record-Breaking Performance Overshadows Previous Benchmarks
Chasing a formidable total of 202, RCB raced to 203/4 with an astonishing 26 balls to spare, eclipsing the previous record held by Rajasthan Royals. Last season, the Royals had chased 210 in 15.5 overs against Gujarat Titans in Jaipur. This emphatic victory also surpassed RCB's own prior benchmark of completing a 200-plus chase in 16 overs, underscoring their dominance in the season opener.

Padikkal set a blistering pace, smashing 61 runs off 26 deliveries and reaching his half-century in only 21 balls with a flurry of boundaries. Kohli complemented this aggression perfectly, remaining unbeaten on 69 off 38 balls, showcasing his trademark control and shot-making to register his 64th IPL fifty.
