A passenger bus travelling from Ramgarh to Bokaro collided with a truck on NH-23 under Gola police station limits in Ramgarh district on Wednesday, leaving at least 12 passengers injured, including the driver.
Police arrived at the scene and initiated a rescue operation with assistance from local villagers. The injured were transported to the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Gola. From there, the critically injured driver and a woman passenger were referred to Ranchi for further medical care.
Sita Ram Mahto, circle officer of Gola, reported that the accident occurred approximately 5 km from the Gola block headquarters. He stated, "The passenger bus collided with a heavy truck, resulting in injuries to at least 12 people. A woman passenger and the driver sustained critical injuries and have been referred to Ranchi."
The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing, and authorities are working to ensure the safety of all involved.
