CM Yogi Adityanath Addresses LPG Supply Concerns and Global Stability
In a significant public address on Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reassured residents of Gorakhpur and the wider state that there is absolutely no necessity to form long queues outside gas agencies to secure LPG cylinders. He emphasized that citizens should book their cylinders strictly according to the scheduled time, after which home deliveries will be efficiently managed as per standard procedures.
Advice Against Panic Buying and Misinformation
The Chief Minister strongly advised the public to refrain from panic buying of not only LPG but also petrol and diesel, urging purchases only when genuinely required. He issued a stern caution against individuals who are actively attempting to disrupt the state's peaceful environment by spreading unfounded rumors and creating unnecessary disorder.
"People should remain cautious and not fall prey to misinformation," Yogi Adityanath stated firmly during his speech.
He highlighted a concerning trend, noting, "Earlier, a household gas cylinder would typically last for an entire month, but why are people now rushing to refill within just five or six days?" This observation underscores the need for rational consumption and trust in the supply system.
Government Directives for Smooth Delivery
Yogi Adityanath reiterated that bookings should be made as per the established schedule, with assurances that deliveries will reach homes in due course without interruption. He confirmed, "The government has issued clear instructions to all district administration officials to ensure that home delivery of gas cylinders continues smoothly, just as it has before."
This directive aims to maintain normalcy and prevent any supply chain disruptions that could arise from public anxiety.
Global Context and National Stability
Addressing the broader geopolitical landscape, the Chief Minister referenced ongoing global tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. While acknowledging that India remains stable and positive, he warned that a prolonged international conflict could have wider impacts on regional and global stability.
He urged citizens to stay mentally prepared and act with responsibility, emphasizing, "Falling prey to rumors or misinformation in haste could raise doubts about one's sense of national responsibility. Citizens must remain alert and place their trust in the national leadership, appreciating that the situation in India remains stable and positive."
Festive Celebrations and Unity Call
In a lighter note, Yogi Adityanath pointed to the ongoing festive season, stating, "Festivities are being celebrated with great enthusiasm, including Navratri, and Ram Navami will be observed tomorrow, when at noon, the Sun is believed to symbolically perform the coronation of Lord Shri Ram at Ram Janmabhoomi."
He emphasized the importance of unity and collective cooperation, asserting that true patriotism lies in working together with the government during times of national importance. "Collective cooperation leads to better outcomes, and if any steps are taken in the national interest, citizens should be prepared to support them," he added.
Ensuring Essential Commodities Supply
To further bolster public confidence, the Chief Minister revealed that district administrations have been directed to ensure an uninterrupted supply of all essential commodities. He made a heartfelt appeal to the people to maintain calm and continue celebrating festivals peacefully, without succumbing to fear or speculation.
This comprehensive address by CM Yogi Adityanath serves as a reminder of the government's commitment to public welfare and stability, even in the face of external uncertainties.
