A heartbreaking incident unfolded in Dasanapura, Madanayakanahalli, near Nelamangala, on Wednesday evening, resulting in the tragic drowning of a two-and-a-half-year-old boy. The victim, identified as Chirag L, was the only child of his parents, Likesh and Ruthu. The accident occurred while the family was preparing to attend a function.

According to police reports, the father had opened the sump cover to wash the car and briefly went inside the house. During this time, Chirag ventured out to play and accidentally fell into the uncovered sump, leading to the fatal incident. Authorities are investigating the circumstances to prevent such tragedies in the future.

Medical Student Killed in Kengeri Scooter Accident

In a separate and equally devastating event, a 21-year-old medical student lost her life in a road accident in Kengeri Satellite Town on Wednesday evening. The victim, Krithikaa CSB, was a fourth-year student at Rajarajeshwari Medical College and Hospital. She was riding a scooter with her classmate, Hamsa, when a truck rear-ended their vehicle.

Police stated that the girls had just finished their classes and were heading home when the collision occurred. Krithikaa fell on the right side and was tragically crushed under the truck's wheels. Hamsa sustained injuries but is currently recovering. This incident highlights ongoing road safety concerns in the area.

Software Professionals Booked for Drug Use Near Gokarna

Two software professionals from Bengaluru were booked on Wednesday evening for allegedly consuming drugs at a private resort near Gokarna. The suspects, MS Pavan, 28, from Bengaluru, and Raghu, 30, from Coimbatore, were detained by police after they were observed behaving suspiciously on the beach.
