TDP Leader Kodela Sivaram Contributes Rs 10 Lakh to TTD's Healthcare Initiative
In a significant philanthropic gesture, senior Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Dr Kodela Sivaram has donated Rs 10 lakh to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for its Sri Balaji Arogya Vara Prasadini healthcare scheme. This initiative is dedicated to providing essential medical support to devotees and economically disadvantaged individuals across the region.
Donation Ceremony at Tirumala
Dr Sivaram, who serves as the managing director of Kiora Infra Construction, visited the sacred temple town of Tirumala along with his family members. During the visit, he personally handed over a demand draft for the donation to TTD executive officer Muddada Ravichandra. The ceremony underscored the commitment of political leaders to social welfare causes beyond their official duties.
Appreciation from TTD Authorities
TTD executive officer Muddada Ravichandra warmly appreciated Dr Sivaram's generous contribution. He congratulated the TDP leader for extending support to the temple body's charitable healthcare program, which aims to deliver medical assistance and relief to devotees and weaker sections of society. This acknowledgment highlights the collaborative efforts between religious institutions and public figures in addressing healthcare needs.
Continuing a Legacy of Service
Dr Kodela Sivaram's charitable activities are deeply rooted in the legacy of his father, the late Kodela Sivaprasada Rao. A veteran political leader and former speaker of the Andhra Pradesh legislative assembly, Sivaprasada Rao was elected to the assembly six times and was affectionately known as the "Palnadu Tiger" for his strong leadership and dedication to the development of the Palnadu region.
He played a pivotal role in advancing several areas, particularly the constituencies of Narasaraopet and Sattenapalli, where he became synonymous with progress and welfare. In memory of his father, Dr Sivaram has been actively involved in numerous charitable and service endeavors, focusing on:
- Healthcare initiatives to improve medical access
- Educational programs to support learning opportunities
- Social welfare projects aimed at community upliftment
By supporting these causes, Dr Sivaram ensures that the spirit of public service associated with his father continues to benefit people not only in the Palnadu region but also beyond, fostering a culture of compassion and support.
This donation to the TTD's healthcare scheme is a testament to the ongoing commitment of the Kodela family to societal well-being, blending political heritage with philanthropic action to make a tangible difference in the lives of many.
