DMK Chief M K Stalin Calls for Alliance Unity Amid Opposition Rumors
In a strong message to party members, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK president M K Stalin has urged cadres to disregard rumors spread by opposition parties about alleged differences within the DMK-led alliance. Speaking on Wednesday, Stalin emphasized that such misinformation is a deliberate attempt to create confusion and weaken the coalition ahead of crucial elections.
Stalin's Letter to Cadres Highlights Alliance Strength
Stalin wrote a detailed letter to DMK cadres, stating that opposition parties are spreading false narratives out of disappointment over the alliance's unwavering unity. He pointed out that the DMK-led coalition has remained strong without any internal fissures, which has frustrated rival groups. "Some are deliberately spreading imaginary criticisms about our seat-sharing arrangements to create confusion and undermine our alliance. Cadres must not believe such baseless rumors," Stalin asserted in his communication.
Importance of Allies and Seat-Sharing Process
Stressing the critical role of alliance partners, Stalin highlighted their vital contributions in fortifying the secular progressive front in Tamil Nadu. He described political friends as integral to the collective strength of the coalition. "Our allies are part of our shared mission. The constituencies allotted to them must be treated as our own, and we should work wholeheartedly for their electoral success," he said.
Regarding the seat-sharing process, Stalin clarified that final arrangements were reached after extensive consultations and mutual understanding. He explained that each party in the alliance requested constituencies based on its organizational strength, and issues were resolved through multiple rounds of discussions. This transparent approach, according to Stalin, ensures fairness and cohesion within the coalition.
Call for Coordinated Grassroots Campaigning
Looking ahead to the upcoming elections, Stalin underlined the necessity for synchronized grassroots campaigning in the coming weeks. He called on all alliance members to engage in tireless efforts at the local level to connect with voters and promote the coalition's agenda. "If we remain united and work diligently, a sweeping victory for the DMK-led alliance is certain," Stalin added, expressing confidence in the coalition's prospects.
VCK President Raises Symbol Issue
Meanwhile, VCK president Thol Thirumavalavan has written a separate letter to Stalin, raising concerns about election symbols. Thirumavalavan insisted that the MNM (Makkal Needhi Maiam) should be allowed to contest under its own symbol in the upcoming assembly elections. He argued that while alliance parties may benefit from using the symbol of the leading party, forcing them to do so is unacceptable. This development highlights ongoing discussions within the alliance regarding logistical and symbolic aspects of the electoral strategy.
As the political landscape heats up, Stalin's call for unity aims to solidify the DMK-led alliance against opposition challenges, focusing on a cohesive campaign to secure victory in Tamil Nadu.
