RSS-UP Govt Meetings Focus on 5 Centenary Pledges & Feedback
RSS-UP Govt Coordination Meet Reviews 5 Centenary Pledges

High-level coordination meetings between the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Uttar Pradesh government have concluded in Lucknow, with a sharp focus on the five key pledges made by the Sangh in its landmark centenary foundation year. The discussions also extensively reviewed the feedback and suggestions gathered during a month-long series of meetings between various state departments and RSS-affiliated organizations.

Key Attendees and Meeting Framework

The significant gathering saw representation from the highest echelons of both the RSS and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). The RSS delegation was led by its national coordinator for RSS-BJP coordination, Arun Kumar, and included kshetriya pracharaks Anil Singh and Mahendra Kumar, as well as kshethra karyawahs like Virendra Jaiswal from the Purvanchal region.

From the BJP's side, the meeting was attended by national organisation secretary BL Santosh, UP organisation secretary Dharmpal Saini, and state party president Bhupendra Chaudhary. The state government was represented by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, along with his two deputies, Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, and a select group of officials.

Core Agenda: Centenary Pledges and Outreach

A central point of deliberation was the operationalisation of the RSS's five pledges for its centenary year. A major emphasis was placed on one particular pledge: reaching out to every household. To advance this goal, RSS office-bearers urged the state government to facilitate meetings between senior Sangh functionaries and intellectuals from various fields. This list of intellectuals specifically included judges from the High Court, indicating a targeted outreach to the legal and intellectual elite of the state.

Departmental Feedback and The Way Forward

The meetings also served as a platform to synthesize the outcomes of the recently concluded department and category-wise coordination meetings. These granular meetings, which ended last Wednesday, involved RSS offshoots providing inputs to various government departments. The key points shortlisted after thorough churning in those meetings were discussed at this high-level review.

The overall exercise underscores the continuous and structured coordination mechanism between the ideological fountainhead, the RSS, and the BJP government in India's most populous state. The focus remains on aligning governance with the Sangh's broader societal vision, especially in its historic 100th year, ensuring feedback from the ground shapes administrative action.
