Punjab Assembly Condemns US-Israel Military Strike on Iran
Chandigarh: The Punjab Legislative Assembly on Friday strongly condemned the recent military attack by the United States and Israel on Iran, which resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khomeini. During the obituary references of the assembly session, AAP legislator Dr Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi raised the grave issue in the House, describing the incident as a profound "humanitarian tragedy".
MLA Sukhi Details the Human Cost of the Attack
Dr Sukhwinder Kumar Sukhi provided harrowing details of the assault, stating that the attack claimed the lives of more than 100 innocent schoolgirls, along with numerous doctors and patients in hospitals. He confirmed that Ayatollah Khomeini was also killed in the offensive.
"I condemn the act of the Trump administration and pay tribute to those who were killed," Sukhi declared emphatically. He further urged the Speaker of the House, Kultar Singh Sandhwan, to formally pay tribute to the victims within the assembly proceedings, if deemed appropriate.
